The plastics specialists at Schoeller Allibert have specially designed the new Bayopal pallet for use in tough industrial and logistics environments in all sectors, including the food and beverages, retail, pooling, agriculture and automotive industries. The plastic pallet, which measures 1,000 × 1,200 millimeters, possesses a reinforced corner structure and perforated, ribbed top deck for maximum rigidity and has ISO 8611 certification.

However, what makes the new pallet so special is the patented bayonet connection between the top deck and the runners which makes the pallet extremely durable and sustainable. The connecting parts with bayonet weak ring ensure that impacts or incorrect use with lifting equipment break only the weak ring and do no damage to the runners or the deck. Because this means that only the connecting parts have to be replaced, users can repair the Bayopal easily, quickly and economically.

The pallet which weighs a mere 24 kilograms, is designed for dynamic loads of up to 1,500 kilograms during transport and the maximum static load capacity is 6,000 kilograms, or 1,250 kilograms in the case of rack storage. Bayopal is compatible with most automatic conveyor and handling systems, is silent during operation and is easy to integrate in the existing intralogistic configuration.

This robust pallet is available in a number of variants: With a smooth top deck, it is ideal for cardboard boxes; with a five-millimeter high stacking rim, it can accept all types of plastic containers; and with a 22-millimeter high rim it can be used for the secure transportation of upside-down Euro-containers. To make transport and handling operations even more reliable, the top deck and fork entries can also be equipped with an anti-slip surface. Users can equip the Bayopal with three, five or six runners. The pallet features generously-sized locations for RFID tags and IoT beacons. These make it possible to implement a transparent supply chain. And at the end of its service life, the Bayopal is 100-percent recyclable – just as you would expect of a “green pallet”. as
