MVTec seminar series for machine vision
MVTec Software is launching a new series of seminars from October 2018: At the "MVTec Technology Day - Deep Learning", participants will gain practical knowledge on the use of modern deep learning technologies in machine vision applications.
MVTec Software, the provider of standard machine vision software, is demonstrating its expertise in the use of artificial intelligence in industrial image processing software: the "MVTec Technology Day - Deep Learning" seminar series will be launched in October 2018. It will provide interesting background information on the use of modern deep learning technologies in machine vision applications. In two full-day workshops in Munich on October 9 and 17 and a two-hour short seminar at Vision in Stuttgart in November, participants will benefit from practical and quickly implementable professional knowledge.
The seminars in Munich take place at the Design Offices Arnulfpark and are limited to 20 participants. A maximum of 30 visitors can take part in the seminar at Vision, although no registration is required. Further training sessions are planned from February 2019. Detailed information on the individual seminars will be continuously updated at www.mvtec.com/de/news-presse/mvtec-events/#c3377.
Another seminar in English will be offered by MVTec, LLC, on August 23 in Quincy, MA, USA. Here, participants can gain practical experience in solving deep learning applications with Halcon. In a workshop, they will learn how to train and deploy applications on an embedded platform using a standard GigEVision camera for image acquisition. Further information on this seminar can be found at www.mvtec.com/de/news-presse/mvtec-events/#c3339.
Focus on new Halcon releases
The training courses in Munich and Stuttgart are in German and are aimed in particular at users of the MVTec software product Halcon. Up to three deep learning experts from the MVTec Solutions team will act as trainers in each case. The seminars cover deep learning technologies based on the latest Halcon release 18.05 and also provide a preview of the Halcon 18.11 version, which will be released in November 2018. However, the focus of the seminars is not only on Halcon functions, but also on specific application examples. The seminars from 2019 onwards will be based on the latest Halcon version and thus continuously expanded to include new deep learning functions.
Deep learning integrated into standard software
"Deep learning is a trending topic in the machine vision industry that we have been working on intensively for several years now. We have seamlessly integrated this technology into our comprehensive standard software MVTec Halcon. Only this integration enables the successful use of deep learning technology and allows customers to benefit directly from the added value of these new processes," explains Dr. Olaf Munkelt, Managing Director of MVTec Software.
