What does AMI, ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY stand for?
AMI reaches its target group in a cross-media and networked way. With the digital, interactive trade magazine, the web portal, newsletters, social media channels and events, AMI is always present with information and solution-oriented decision-making aids for its target group.
The AMI authors and editors provide competent and user-oriented reports on the various additive manufacturing processes and materials, showing application examples from a wide range of industrial sectors as well as from research and development.
Additive manufacturing complements machining or other manufacturing processes in many areas. It also offers new possibilities for manufacturing complex workpieces quickly and in one piece, which would be very difficult or impossible to produce using conventional methods.
From manufacturers of printers or 3D printing materials to 3D printing service providers and, of course, users from industry, all sectors related to additive manufacturing are represented.
Editorial topics include:
- Applications of additive manufacturing: from rapid prototyping (RP) and rapid tooling (RT) to rapid manufacturing (RM) and other applications.
- Manufacturing processes: including selective laser melting (SLM), selective laser sintering (SLS), electron beam melting (EBM), fused deposition modeling (FDM) and stereolithography
- 3D printing materials: plastic-based plastic granules and filaments and metal-based materials such as wires or powders
- Services: Contract manufacturing in series or individual pieces
