Trade fair for additive manufacturing
Formnext continues to grow with more exhibitors
Formnext continues its successful development in 2022: The trade fair for additive manufacturing and modern industrial production has already reported 690 exhibitors and has thus already exceeded the final number of exhibitors from 2021.
With a gross area of over 50,000 m² booked, this too was increased by more than 34%, as the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt announced, and also referred to the internationality of 59%.
Among the exhibitors already registered are companies such as 3D Systems, Additive Industries, AddUp, Arburg, BigRep, Carbon, Desktop Metal, DMG Mori, Dyemansion, EOS, Evonik, Farsoon, Formlabs, GE Additive, HP, Keyence, Markforged, Materialise, Renishaw, Ricoh, Siemens, Sisma, SLM Solutions Group, Stratasys, Trumpf, Voxeljet, Xerox, XJet and Zeiss. In addition, numerous well-known international companies will be showcasing their solutions along the entire process chain, including BASF, Covestro, Evonik, GKN Sinter Metals Components, Höganäs, Linde, Mitsubishi Chemical, Oerlikon, Sandvik and many more.
"This successful development shows that exhibitors continue to see Formnext as the most important industry meeting place and an extremely valuable trade fair platform, and underlines the fact that for many companies in the AM industry, face-to-face meetings are indispensable for successfully conducting business, advancing developments or finding partners and investors," says Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext at the organizer Mesago.
Early booking discount for trade fair visitors
The ticket store is already available to trade fair visitors so that they can plan their visit to the trade fair in good time. Early bookers can benefit from significantly discounted ticket prices up to and including October 15, 2022. In line with Deutsche Bahn's summer offer, there is also a 9 euro ticket for schoolchildren and students.
Partner country France
France is one of the most important countries in Europe for additive manufacturing and has had a strong presence at Formnext for many years. This year, more than 30 French companies, associations and research institutions will be represented at Formnext and present their range of services to the international trade audience. The French AM industry will present a diverse portfolio of products and services along the entire process chain. These include internationally established AM giants such as Addup, but also young companies such as Lynxter, Pollen AM and others, as well as renowned industrial companies such as Arkema, BINC Industries, Constellium and Granges, for whom additive manufacturing is playing an increasingly important role.
In France, not only the strong aerospace and automotive industries offer promising fields of application for additive manufacturing, but also construction and architecture, viticulture, medicine and many more. With France Additive, Cimes, CCI Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Carnot network for additive manufacturing, French partners and important AM associations, regions and research institutions will also be presenting themselves at Formnext.
Supporting program
Formnext takes place in exhibition halls 11 and 12, the most modern part of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. The Start-up Challenge, which honors innovative and viable business ideas from young companies, will take place for the eighth time as part of the supporting program. The purmundus challenge ideas competition is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a reception and a special "Best of 10 Years" show. In addition to the established Discover3Dprinting seminars (in German and English), visitors to Formnext 2022 will be able to find out about the wide range of career opportunities in the AM industry on the AM4U platform, for example.
In addition, the conference programme organized by content partner TCT will also focus on current trends and developments in additive manufacturing in 2022. The VDMA will present a special show with AM applications from the world of mechanical engineering and provide further insights with presentations on the AM4U stage.
The BE-AM special show will present developments in 3D printing in the construction industry, while the BE-AM conference will present background information and future developments in this field. The topic of norms and standards will once again be discussed by experts and decision-makers at the ASTM Standards Forum on the day before the trade fair (14.11.2022).
