Formnext 2022

Almost at pre-corona level

With over 730 exhibitors and a booked gross area of more than 50,000 m², Formnext has already significantly exceeded last year's figures in September. The world's leading trade fair for additive manufacturing and modern industrial production is thus laying the foundations for an outstanding 2022 edition of Formnext.

At the same time, Formnext is also setting new standards in terms of content: the supporting program, which will cover the latest topics and innovations in additive manufacturing at the highest level, from the construction industry and aerospace to ceramics applications and investments, will be more extensive and varied than ever before. This year's partner country, France, will also play an important role.

"Additive manufacturing is successfully finding its way into more and more areas of industry. This is constantly giving rise to new topics and applications," says Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext, Mesago Messe Frankfurt. "We don't just present these topics and innovations at Formnext - we discuss them, develop them further with our partners and exhibitors and give them a home. "Among other things, Formnext has significantly expanded the AM4U area. It includes the topics of start-ups and investments, construction and architecture, decentralized manufacturing as well as the partner country France, AM in education and careers and, for the first time, a "Deep Thought presented by ACAM, Formnext and VDMA AG AM". This will take a closer look at AM topics and discuss answers to important questions in the industry. Furthermore, a new panel will shed light on the use of AM in ceramic applications.

From AM seminars to career opportunities

In addition, the well-known Discover 3D Printing seminars, which are particularly popular with newcomers to AM, will take place on the AM4U stage every day of the trade fair. For example, visitors can find out about the wide range of career opportunities in the AM industry or have their application photos taken by a photographer. All content from the AM4U stage as well as impressions, voices and much more will be streamed live on Formnext.TV. Formnext visitors will be able to watch content after the trade fair that they missed on site. In addition, viewers who cannot be in Frankfurt can take part in the exciting events at Formnext.

Partner country France: versatile, innovative and broad-based

France is one of the most important countries in Europe for additive manufacturing and has been present at Formnext for years. This year, more than 40 French companies, associations and research institutes will be represented at Formnext. With FranceAdditive, Cimes, CCI Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Carnot Network, French partners and important AM associations, regions and research institutions will also be taking part in Formnext.
