New KMC series pressure transmitters from Gefran

Ultra-compact pressure transmitters with digital output for mobile machinery

Measuring systems used in mobile machinery must be insensitive to shocks and weather fluctuations, work reliably and also have a compact and robust design. Gefran has over 40 years of technical experience in the realization of such demanding products. This know-how has now been incorporated into the development of the new KMC industrial pressure transmitters.

Harsh environmental conditions are part of everyday life for mobile machinery. The components used in them must be correspondingly robust. In addition, all components must be as compact as possible due to the limited installation space. The new KMC pressure transmitters from Gefran meet all these requirements. They have been specially developed for use in mobile hydraulics and are designed with the maximum possible degree of protection IP69K. Their digital output (CAN Open and CAN SAE J1939) enables simple integration into various control systems.

Ultra-compact and lightweight

Gefran's KMC series pressure transmitters are characterized by their ultra-compact design of just 4 cm in length and their minimal weight of only 50 g. Their impressive shock resistance of up to 100 g, vibration resistance of up to 20 g, high temperature stability and resistance to extreme environmental conditions make them ideal for use in mobile machinery such as construction machinery, cranes, lifting platforms and commercial vehicles. The pressure transmitters are available for measuring ranges from 4 bar to 1,000 bar.

Integrated pressure damper protects against damage

Dangerous phenomena such as cavitation, liquid hammer or pressure peaks can occur in many applications, for example when pumps are started and stopped or when a valve is closed quickly. To protect the KMC sensors from these phenomena, they can optionally be equipped with an integrated pressure damper that eliminates these harmful peaks thanks to a 0.5 mm diameter through-hole.

"By introducing the KMC series, we are continuing our focus on innovation and quality," says Tobias Middendorf, Business Development, at Gefran. "We are proud to offer our customers a solution that provides the highest performance and reliability in a compact form."
