For gas Ex area
Intrinsically safe humidity and temperature transducer
The new intrinsically safe EE100Ex from E+E Elektronik is certified in accordance with the European ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and the international IECEx standards for use in potentially explosive gas atmospheres up to Zone 1.
The humidity and temperature transmitter offers high measuring accuracy and is suitable for particularly demanding climate and process control tasks. It complies with temperature class T4 for intrinsically safe equipment and can be installed directly in potentially explosive environments. Thanks to the high-quality IP65 aluminum housing and a selection of different filter caps, the transmitter can be used in a variety of applications, for example in supply tunnels, hazardous goods warehouses or in the pharmaceutical industry.
The measuring transducer from E+E Elektronik enables accurate measurement of relative humidity and temperature in the operating range of 0...100 % RH and -40...60 °C. The combination of robust sensor head, proven E+E sensor coating and encapsulated electronics in the sensor ensures excellent measurement performance and long-term stability in dirty and corrosive environments.
Configurable analog outputs
The measured values are available on two galvanically isolated, configurable 4...20 mA, 2-wire outputs. In addition to relative humidity [RH] and temperature [T], the EE100Ex also calculates the dew point [Td] and frost point temperature [Tf]. The power supply can be provided by any suitable, intrinsically safe supply device or via Zener barriers. An error indication at the analog outputs in accordance with the NAMUR standard enables rapid troubleshooting in the event of a malfunction.
