Process-accurate screw connections in series production
The AccuTec screwdrivers from Fein are process-accurate machines for series screw connections with consistent torque. In September, the power tool manufacturer launched the ASM 18 mid-handle screwdriver in three versions.
In this way, Fein is particularly supporting industrial companies and car manufacturers who process screws with constant torque. With the new screwdriver, the developers have paid particular attention to making operation even easier and further increasing the speed ranges. It was also important to further optimize the feel and ergonomics of the machines - they are significantly lighter, fit better in the hand and are particularly easy to operate.
The screwdriver is available in three versions, which are identical in shape but differ in terms of their respective performance: The ASM 183 PC works with torques of 0.5 to 3 Newton meters, the ASM 188 PC achieves 1 to 8 Newton meters and the most powerful of the three new screwdrivers, the ASM 1812 PC, delivers torques of 4 to 12 Newton meters. At 0.8 kilograms without battery, the weight of all three versions is the same and extremely low. All variants also feature the low-maintenance and powerful EC motor, making the machines very durable and reliable. Thanks to the MultiVolt interface, all three screwdriver variants can be operated with all FEIN lithium-ion batteries from 12 to 18 volts; according to the company, this is unique on the market.
