Aluminum heavy-duty profiles: Light, flexible, resilient
Steel and welding were yesterday. Heavy-duty profiles made of aluminum guarantee equally stable overall constructions and are lightweight at the same time. The heavy-duty profiles in the Blocan series from RK Rose+Krieger also offer special connection technology.
Blocan heavy-duty profiles are characterized by high bending and torsional rigidity with a comparatively low dead weight, according to the manufacturer. For example, the D-profile of size 160 x 320 is on a par with an IPE 360 double T-beam - with smaller dimensions and a weight saving of over 35 percent. This allows designers to realize large gantry systems and machine frames in lightweight construction, which could previously only be realized with steel constructions.
Cut to size, assemble, ready
The Minden-based experts in profile assembly technology have developed special connecting elements for the assembly of their aluminum heavy-duty profiles. These pressure connectors hold the heavy-duty profiles together using pressure and a heavy-duty screw connection that can be loosened again at any time. In combination with the 18 millimeter wide profile groove, they simplify the assembly of the respective construction: the profiles are simply ordered in the desired length or cut to length by hand and then assembled with pressure connectors without any further processing. The position of the profiles can be changed as required. Nevertheless, the connection can also withstand dynamic forces.
As the assembly and processing costs are low compared to conventional welded joints, the assembly costs are correspondingly low. Constructions made from Blocan heavy-duty profiles can also be easily dismantled in segments. This reduces transportation costs and even allows them to be reassembled elsewhere or in a new form.
The profile mounting system from RK Rose+Krieger comprises a total of heavy-duty profiles in sizes D-80x80, D-80x160 and D-80x240 as well as D-160x160, D-160x240 and D-160x320. They can be combined with each other and with all other profile variants from the profile system and all linear technology products from RK Rose+Krieger. as
