For the launch of the Franka Production 3 cobot, TQ has optimized all cobot apps, solution packages and applications for the next generation of the Franka Emika robot series and now offers practical out-of-the-box solutions for a wide range of applications in production and manufacturing.

With the new Franka Production 3 (FP3), TQ continues to pursue its strategy of offering customers only tried-and-tested solutions that are already being used successfully in industry and trade, as well as by TQ itself in its production and electronics manufacturing division. Cobots - such as the brand new Franka Production 3 - help to either fully automate production processes or optimize individual processes, particularly in the case of repetitive manual tasks.

Robot-supported automation tool

The central basic package for automating these processes is the Core Solution from TQ, including a control cabinet and a flexible base plate. Both are already included in the standard version of the FP3. The solution therefore provides companies with everything they need to get started with automation: an industrial-grade out-of-the-box solution consisting of software, cobot and corresponding peripherals - ready for immediate use and ready for a wide range of tasks.

When used correctly, cobots work in perfect coexistence with humans in shared workspaces and can - especially in times of crisis - help to ensure stable, uninterrupted production, guarantee the profitability of companies and thus secure jobs. Intuitive user interface and high precision

Compared to its predecessor, the Franka Production 3 sets new standards: it still has the seven axes typical of Franka Emika as well as highly sensitive torque sensors, but is now even more intuitive to operate. It can learn the various motion sequences to be automated by manual input and can be operated easily and intuitively via a touch display. To program different sequences, the corresponding apps are then selected from a menu on the laptop using drag-and-drop, arranged and then executed by the robot. This means that project managers can automate the desired production processes robotically within a very short time and without any programming knowledge.

In addition, the cobot has a precision and dexterity in the execution of its movements that is virtually on a par with that of a human. It is able to perfectly imitate the human hand and therefore perform delicate tasks (e.g. soldering or gluing) as well as a wide range of other automation tasks with ease. More than a hundred sensors of various types, including industry-leading torque sensors developed by TQ itself, help it to do this in all seven axes. As a result, FP3 performs even the most complex tasks at a consistently high level, relieves employees of monotonous manual tasks and at the same time helps to secure production sites and jobs.
