Dr. Hadi Saleh is the new CEO of CeramTec
Dr. Hadi Saleh, previously Chief Operating Officer (COO) Medical, is the new CEO of the CeramTec Group. He takes over the management of the Group with immediate effect. The previous CEO, Henri Steinmetz, will leave the company at the same time.
"Dr. Hadi Saleh has proven his professional expertise and high leadership quality as COO Medical since 2015. We are convinced that the CeramTec Group will continue its successful course under his leadership," said Dr. Günter von Au, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CeramTec. "We would like to thank Henri Steinmetz for his successful work at the helm of the company and wish him all the best for his professional and personal future," he added.
Dr. Hadi Saleh said: "I would like to successfully continue the growth course we have embarked on and further strengthen CeramTec's competitive position in the international markets. The Group will continue to grow organically and through acquisitions in the coming years. The strategic goal is to transform the company from a German technology leader into a global market leader for innovative materials."
In his previous role as COO Medical, Dr. Saleh was responsible for the Group's entire medical product portfolio; he was also responsible for the industrial business. Before joining the company in 2015, he spent more than ten years in management positions at the US medical technology company Biomet, one of the world's largest suppliers of orthopaedic implants.
On March 8, 2018, the acquisition of CeramTec Group by a consortium led by the equity funds advised by BC Partners ("BC Partners") from the previous owner Cinven was completed (closing). The consortium also includes Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments) and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Ontario Teachers'). The transaction was announced in October 2017. The antitrust authorities have now approved the sale. kp
