Category 3 - 3rd place: Spillover undesirable
The MOVIKIT AntiSlosh software module from SEW-Eurodrive is used to reduce vibrations during the open transportation of liquids in the production chain. The jury awarded the module third place in the Electrical Automation category.
It is used in various sectors such as the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. When transporting liquids in open containers, for example in production or filling, there is a risk of the liquid vibrating and spilling due to the cycle operation. This can lead to sealing problems or contaminated cups and rejects. If this is compensated for by lower accelerations and cycle rates, however, production performance suffers. The software module is used to create optimum movement profiles based on an intelligent adjustment to the physical properties of the liquid.
The calculation of the ideal cycle time thus enables maximum process performance in combination with overspill protection. SEW claims an increase in machine performance of up to 25 percent. The module provides its function with the familiar simplicity of the MOVIKIT software modules and is fully integrated into the MOVI-C software environment. pb
