SEW engines travel around the world with a passport
SEW-Eurodrive is a globally active company. The Bruchsal-based drive technology company has now issued a "passport" for the worldwide use of its motors.
Due to combinations of building regulations, motors from SEW-Eurodrive may be used worldwide in various countries and regions where different regulations apply. Taking these regional specifications into account, the three-phase asynchronous motors of the DR.. series have been approved in various electrical construction regulations. In some cases, the relevant notes are affixed to the nameplates or separate stickers on the motor.
SEW-Eurodrive Germany has now issued a "passport" of the global motors with all endorsements and visas to make it easier for customers to keep track and simplify exports. Interested parties can contact the technical offices, which will make this passport available to their customers free of charge with immediate effect.
Advice is also available there on converting old motor series to the DRN motor with the IE3 energy efficiency class for motors. In addition, the staff will explain how every DRN... motor can travel legally and in compliance with the law, even when entering and leaving the country with multiple visas, for example from Germany to China and then to Brazil.
SEW has a suitable three-phase motor for every requirement: 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pole motors with outputs from 0.09 to 225 kilowatts, in efficiency classes IE2 to IE4. The motors in the DR../DRN/DR2.. series are equally suitable for mains or inverter operation. as
