SEW-Eurodrive
Small motors, high performance, larger portfolio
Angular and offset geared motors. SEW has expanded its portfolio of DCA.. compact extra-low voltage drives to include right-angle and parallel shaft gearmotors. This gives users greater flexibility when integrating the drives into their machines.
The new 48-volt series, which SEW-Eurodrive wanted to showcase at Logimat 2020 and elsewhere, enable further drive variations and thus more flexibility in the mechanical connection of the drive and its integration into the respective application. The compact right-angle geared motor from the W.03..DCA... series series is equipped with Spiroplan gearing. With five additional reduction ratios, this series has an extended nominal speed range of the existing angular geared motor series. According to the manufacturer, the compact geared motor has a long service life and is characterized by high overload factors. It is optionally available with a hollow or solid shaft.
Also new is the compact flat geared motor from the F.03..DCA... series. This design is the modern alternative to belt drives. The helical geared motor has proven helical gearing. It is also available with either a solid or hollow shaft. The latter enables travel drives with a continuous shaft.
The compact motor from the DCA.. series, which is used in all 48-volt extra-low voltage drives, is an electronically commutated internal rotor motor with a high power density. It has fully integrated control electronics with an analogue and digital interface and can be parameterized via an RS485 engineering interface.
The portfolio also includes the compact planetary geared motor from the PN..DCA. series. Thanks to its optimized gear geometry, it runs very smoothly and is also suitable for high peak loads thanks to its gear unit design, according to SEW. The compact right-angle geared motor from the KN..DCA.. series combines an angular and planetary stage in one housing. This drive solution has a high overload capacity. Thanks to its compact design, this drive is also suitable for small installation spaces.
Typical areas of use for the entire drive portfolio are intralogistics applications such as linear and accumulating roller conveyors, rotary units and tables or lifting modules and corner transfer units. SEW's compact extra-low voltage drives provide a solution for stationary and mobile storage systems such as conveyor modules, load handling attachments and shuttle drives. as
