New switches protect people and machines
RS Components has added two new switch series for maintenance engineers and machine and control cabinet manufacturers to its range: the compact Series 61 emergency stop switches (E-Stop) and the Series 45 industrial switches were developed by EAO, a leading supplier of HMIs.
Designed to reliably protect people and equipment from injury and damage, Series 61 emergency stop switches are ideal for use in manual control units, or they can be easily accessible or mounted directly on a machine. The Series 61 has a robust design and can withstand the harsh conditions of industrial applications. It fulfills the requirements of protection class IP69K and also meets the criteria of IP67. Typical applications include manual control units, production machinery and equipment, construction machinery, agricultural equipment and vehicles, as well as control panels in a range of industrial plant and equipment.
Ideal for applications where space is a critical factor, the Series 61 also features a robust monobloc design and a trip function in accordance with EN 60947-5-5 and EN 13850, which prevents incorrect operation, as well as a green indicator ring to signal switch actuation. Other important features include a very compact design with a rear panel depth of just 21.2 millimetres and an optional 24-volt DC LED, which makes the switch clearly visible even in poor lighting conditions.
The Series 45 switches are designed for easy mounting and installation in 22-millimeter or 30.5-millimeter recesses. They are available in plastic, shiny metal or matt metal. The 30.5 millimeter metal version has a flat, flush design. The series has a robust design and offers IP69K protection as well as long-life LED lighting. The features of the switches also include a mechanical service life of one million switching cycles and reliable switching from five to 500 volts. In addition, the slow switching element with double break is available with screw or spring-loaded terminals and can be fitted with a maximum of six switching elements.
The EAO 61 and 45 series switches are now available from stock at RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. as
