Flexible guide channel for indoor cranes
The Dutch company CraneSolutions has recently installed the Easy Guide System from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp. The flexible guide channel makes it possible to dispense with cumbersome festoon systems for indoor cranes.
In spring 2018, CraneSolutions received an order for a total of ten single-girder overhead traveling cranes. The client: a manufacturer of grabs for bulk material cranes that wanted to expand its production line - with nine smaller indoor cranes with lifting capacities of up to 5,000 kilograms and spans of up to 8,340 millimetres as well as a large model with a lifting capacity of 15,000 kilograms and a span of 19,100 millimetres. The lifting height is around five meters in each case. Indoor cranes of this type are standard orders for CraneSolutions. In this case, however, there is a special feature: "These are some of the first cranes that we have delivered with the Easy Guide System from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp," explains Jacco Hus, Electrical Engineer at CraneSolutions. "This flexible guide for energy chains has replaced the festoon systems with cable loops that we used previously."
The Easy Guide System is a new guide channel for energy chains that has been specially developed for use in cranes. It saves space and can be installed quickly with just a few components. "The Easy Guide System makes it possible to dispense with loosely hanging festoon loops on indoor cranes with energy chains," explains Grego Ernst, CEO and owner of Wisman Techniek, Kabelschlepp's Dutch partner. The system is also less prone to errors.
In the case of CraneSolutions, the Easy Guide System is part of a complete package: Kabelschlepp and Wisman Techniek also supply the matching energy chains as well as cables and wires ready for connection. The QuickTrax 0320 model with external hinged brackets is used as the energy chain in all cranes. CraneSolutions also receives the required cables from the Traxline cable program. as
