Single-pair Ethernet for drag chains and robots

The increasing networking and communication of system components requires larger volumes of data that must be transmitted reliably, even under difficult conditions.

The digital revolution is no longer just on everyone's lips, it is already visibly making its way into companies. With Industry 4.0, the requirements for data transmission in real time and the rapidly increasing degree of networking in production are growing at a rapid pace.

Ethernet cables are very often exposed to high mechanical loads and high temperatures in industrial applications and come into contact with various chemicals, oils and cleaning agents. SAB Bröckskes has developed robust and economical solutions to meet these requirements and the demand from industrial users for end-to-end Ethernet (IIoT) right down to the smallest production level, right down to the sensor or actuator.

With the new CATLine SPE cable series, the company offers solutions for various areas of application. With a bandwidth of 1-600 MHz, the SPE cables, which are suitable for drag chains and robots, guarantee reliable data transmission. The CATLine SPE Robot and C-Track cables are also LABS non-critical, oil-resistant, UL-approved and RoHS-compliant.

The focus is on two single-pair Ethernet cables that have been specially developed for the increasing data transmission rates in automation. In addition to the CATLine C-Track, a single-pair Ethernet cable with drag chain capability, SAB Bröckskes has developed a robot-compatible SPE cable with UL approval - CATLine SPE Robot. as
