The 10 nm platform combines a high-performance CPU with the new Intel Iris Xe graphics and, together with PCI Express 4.0, offers a balanced ratio between performance and dynamics in the range of 12 to 28 W in the smallest possible space.

The COMe-cTL6 module offers variants up to Quad Core, i7 processors and Dual Channel DDR4-3200 memory up to 48 GB, whereby the second channel is also designed as soldered memory with up to 16 GB. Together with its usability in the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 °C, this enables applications in harsh and physically demanding environments. An SSD can also be fitted onboard, eliminating the need for external storage media.

The onboard Intel I225 Ethernet controller supports the TSN standard depending on the SKU. This makes the Kontron COMe-cTL6 module suitable for time-critical applications that require very low latency times, such as in the Industry 4.0/IIoT environment of edge computing, machine and robot control as well as for digital signage and medical imaging.

The VPX Computer Blade VX3060 has selected CPU SKUs designed for extended life. Quad-core CPUs with specialized Vector Neural Network Instructions are suitable for artificial intelligence. This new generation of processors, used by Kontron in COM Express, VPX and 3.5" SBC form factors, is expected to become the platform of choice for SWAP computing for computer vision, graphics and image processing, AI and DSP.
