Laser fork light barriers with IO-Link

Di-soric offers laser fork light barriers in a stainless steel design with fork widths of up to 120 millimetres. The laser sensors in the Ogul series detect objects as small as 0.03 millimetres, while the IO-Link interface offers parameterization and diagnostics options.

The stainless steel laser fork light barriers are compact and have the same dimensions as fork light barriers in the Ogu series. The sensors are particularly suitable for machine and system manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries as well as in medical, packaging and feeding technology.

The highly visible light beam of the eye-safe laser class 1 enables even the smallest details to be detected without time-consuming adjustment. The practically indestructible fork light barriers are housed in corrosion-resistant V4A stainless steel housings that are highly resistant to cleaning agents. Even under unusual environmental conditions, the fork light barriers detect thin wires, drills, cannulas or determine the position of fine grooves with an accuracy (reproducibility) of 0.01 mm. The sensors perform their task in a temperature range between minus 25 and plus 60 degrees Celsius.

According to the manufacturer, the dual operating concept makes setting and operation quick and easy: the laser fork light barriers can either be configured via IO-Link or set manually using a potentiometer. The IO-Link digital interface makes it easy to implement qualitative and quantitative diagnostic requirements such as monitoring current process values, assessing process stability or teach-in quality.

All fork light barriers in the Ogul series are equipped with a push-pull output; PNP and NPN functions are located in one device. The stainless steel housings are mechanically and electrically compatible with the standard fork light barriers with LED light (red light). as
