Tool family expanded

The Hoffmann Group has added the Garant Power Q Double all-round system to its Garant Power Q product family for high-feed milling cutters. The new tool is being launched on the market with five carrier types, system sizes 09 and 14 and an extensive range of grades.

In addition to a universal grade, it offers grades for steel, hardened and stainless steels as well as titanium. The high-feed milling cutter is therefore suitable for any milling task where process reliability and high metal removal rates are paramount.

The tool is characterized by stable work processes, reduced cutting forces and very good chip removal. The three-part cutting edge guide consists of a wiper cutting edge, straight cutting edge and secondary cutting edge: The wiper cutting edge provides sufficient surface quality during roughing. The straight cutting edge enables a high feed rate up to the maximum cutting depth, while the trailing edge forms short, tightly rolled chips.
