Servo-hydraulic press and forging hammer in one
The MXP multiplex press from Lasco combines a servo-hydraulic press and a forging hammer in one machine. The machine concept, which combines the drive system of the power-bound hydraulic press with that of the energy-bound hydraulic die forging hammer, is Lasco's response to changing requirements, particularly in the automotive industry. According to the company, this allows industrial forges to react flexibly during the changeover phase to new automotive drive systems and the machine is suitable for pressing and bending operations, as Lasco says it travels at high empty downward speeds and starts the pressing process immediately after being placed on the workpiece. Separate hydraulic circuits for the ram and die cushion should also enable independent control of the movements. ag
