New press design

The new Tox FlexPress Compact not only allows flexible tool replacement, but also monitors the process and creates analyses on this basis. With this new development, the machine manufacturer from Baden-Württemberg is also establishing a completely revised press design.

New concept and design

With the Tox FlexPress Compact, the machine manufacturer from Weingarten has developed a new standard press that keeps an eye on its own parameters. It is not only the concept that is new, but also the design. For the first time, Tox Pressotechnik is moving away from its familiar look without eliminating it completely. In addition to the now dominant color white, accents in green and magenta clearly identify the new standard press as one from Tox Pressotechnik and at the same time make it appear more modern.

The compact manual workstation occupies a footprint of just 425 x 703 millimetres on a table. The controls are so intuitive that the user can create a new process with just a few clicks via the 13-inch UDI (Universal Data Interface) panel. This is important, as the standard press is technology-flexible - its tool can be quickly converted to all technologies mastered by Tox, such as clinching, riveting or press-fitting. For the first time, Tox Pressotechnik has integrated the control cabinet into the press housing, thereby reducing the footprint of the bench-top press.

Quiet power in four versions

The electromechanical Tox ElectricPowerDrive sits under a noise-reducing cover and drives the press at 5, 10, 30 or 60 kilonewtons, depending on the version. The integrated sensor system records every process and supplies the data to the process monitoring system. This evaluates the information, creates analyses and thus ensures the traceability of each component. Safe operation is ensured by a quiet and fast-closing electric safety door - with magenta accent - and RGBW illumination of the work area: this lights up red for n.i.O parts and green when everything is according to specification.

Thanks to its integrated sensor technology and flexibility, the new Tox FlexPress Compact is ideal for use in precise and small-scale tasks in micro or series assembly. In short: Wherever changing components require the replacement of tools and users want to seamlessly record process and quality data.
