With this name change, the company based in Grabfeld, in southern Thuringia, aims to place greater emphasis on its technological focus. For existing customers, the restructuring will not result in any changes: contact persons and core competencies will remain the same. At the same time, the range of services will be expanded through the division of responsibilities. Köberlein Technologies will continue to focus on feeding technology and custom machine building, while Köberlein Solutions will cover additional automation areas.

The new name is intended to more clearly reflect the company’s focus on mechanical engineering and engineering services. The Köberlein brand will remain as part of the company’s history. For decades, it has been synonymous with feeding technology and, in particular, with the development and production of the first market-ready step conveyor nearly 60 years ago.

As part of the Daum Group, Köberlein Technologies is integrated into a network of technology-oriented industrial companies. The new structure provides for a clear division of responsibilities: Feeding technology and mechanical engineering remain with Köberlein Technologies, while Köberlein Solutions focuses on areas where more advanced automation solutions are required.

Expansion of the Technology Portfolio

Through the collaboration between the two companies, it will be possible in the future to implement projects ranging from individual devices to integrated systems and production lines. In addition, the new structure offers the opportunity to incorporate additional technologies such as robotics, image processing, or artificial intelligence when they are relevant to the specific application.

According to the company, Köberlein Technologies continues to focus on the development and manufacture of feeding technology and machinery. Its expertise in the field of step conveyors remains intact and is complemented by additional feeding and handling technology solutions.
