Olaf Böckers succeeds Wolfram Weber as CFO
The Grob Group has appointed a new head of finance: As of July 1, 2026, Olaf Böckers is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Executive Board. He succeeds Wolfram Weber, whose departure is part of a planned management transition.
With this move, Böckers assumes responsibility for the entire commercial division of the mechanical engineering company. The new CFO brings with him many years of management and banking experience. Most recently, he led GRUMA Automobile GmbH for more than six years. Prior to that, he was in charge of Deutsche Bank’s retail and corporate banking business in Bavaria—a role in which he worked closely with Grob for many years. In total, Böckers worked for Deutsche Bank for 36 years.
According to the company, this change also ensures continuity in leadership for the corporate group. “We are pleased to have gained Mr. Böckers for Grob—a professional with extensive industry and leadership experience. His appointment as CFO ensures a seamless transition in management. His expertise and dedication make him a valuable asset to our company, and we have every confidence that he will use his extensive, long-standing expertise to successfully advance his area of responsibility. We wish him every success in his new role!” said Christian Grob, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Grob Group.
At the same time, Grob paid tribute to the outgoing CFO: “We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Weber for his trusting collaboration over the past few years and wish him all the best for the future!”
Weber has been a member of the Grob Group's executive board since 2007. He is leaving the company for family reasons and, according to the company, on the best of terms with the executive board and the Grob family.
