Bystronic acquires majority stake in Antil
Bystronic acquires 70 percent of the shares in Antil S.p.A. The majority shareholding in the Italian specialist for automated sheet metal production is intended to expand the existing technology and service offering in the automation sector. Antil S.p.A. will add supplementary solutions for loading and unloading cutting systems, corresponding storage systems and services.

At the same time, the need to simplify complex processes and increase overall efficiency is constantly growing. This trend is changing markets worldwide and opening up new production potential. The automation of production processes is a decisive step towards solving these requirements technologically. With the integration of flexible automation modules into the cutting and bending process chain, Bystronic is already supporting many users with a wide range of solutions.
Antil is an innovative technology company based in San Giuliano Milanese (province of Milan), Italy. Since 1989, the 110-strong company has specialized in the development of automation solutions for sheet metal processing. Its portfolio includes loading and unloading systems for laser cutting and punching machines, automated sheet metal storage systems, robot-assisted bending solutions and services. Antil's technologies and services are consistently geared towards the requirements of sheet metal processing customers. In 2017, the company generated a turnover of around 18 million euros.
With the majority shareholding, Antil will become an integral part of the Bystronic Group as a "Member of Bystronic". The successful Antil brand will continue to exist within this framework. The current co-owner Agostino Zanella will continue to manage Antil. The company headquarters in San Giuliano Milanese, Italy, and the staff employed there will also remain with Bystronic's majority shareholding.
