High performance in hardened steels
For the tough cases: Newly developed cutting material grade
Paul Horn GmbH has developed the new SG66 cutting material grade for turning processes involving workpieces with different hardness zones.

Gear cutting specialist LMT Fette, a subsidiary of LMT Tools, is continuously expanding its range of products and services. New gear cutting tools, innovative solutions, additional production capacities and expanded know-how - including the integration of PWS expertise - open up exciting opportunities and create real added value for customers.
In September, EMO in Hanover and Schweissen & Schneiden in Essen are two trade fairs for the metalworking industry that will focus on digitalization, among other things.

Microstep showed 2D and 3D cutting solutions in action on sheet metal, tubes, profiles and container bases, including bevel cutting with plasma or waterjet and dynamic fiber laser cutting, as well as drilling, milling and marking demonstrations.
At the Welding & Cutting trade fair in Essen (September 11-15), Fronius will be focusing on the major drivers in welding technology. Quality requirements are increasing in all industries, but the required welding specialists are scarce. In addition, the protection of resources is of particular importance. Avoiding faulty production and costly reworking is crucial here.

Transportation of sheet metal blanks
Two medium-sized suppliers have joined forces to increase safety when designing a new blank gripper for the automotive industry.
Precision mechanical engineering
With jet diameters down to 150 µm, micro waterjet cutting developed by the Swiss company Waterjet is more precise than the 800 µm technology commonly used in the industry.

When the Leipzig trade fair opens its doors for Intec from March 7 to 10, 2023, Mapal can be found in Hall 3 at Stand B22/C21. On 100 square meters, Mapal will not only show tools and solutions for different industries and materials, but also present machining live to visitors.

Ceratizit will be presenting the highlights from its portfolio at Intec. In addition to the latest tools for milling, turning and drilling, automation solutions will also be a top topic at the tool manufacturer's stand.

Artificial intelligence will not replace humans. Rather, it should be seen as our ally when it comes to optimizing processes, such as in sheet metal production.

Manufacturers of CNC laser and plasma cutting systems are aiming for significantly shorter development times and faster time-to-market. The MTX CNC system from Bosch Rexroth supports this, for example with functions for simple engineering.
