Rotary transfer machine

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Prepared for increasing demand

In the first half of 2021, Stauff, a manufacturer of components for hydraulic piping systems, commissioned a new Riello rotary transfer machine.

The machine produces elbow and T-fittings of all common sizes and designs from forged blanks for the Stauff Connect tube fitting program. Rotary transfer machines of this type are primarily designed for batch sizes from 5,000 pieces. The blanks are clamped fully automatically, several processing steps are carried out in one pass, tool changes and set-up times are reduced. For dealers and manufacturers in mechanical and plant engineering, this means high availability, even for large orders at short notice.

Stauff assumes that 1.2 million workpieces per year will be produced on the machine for the production of small and medium-sized tube fittings in sizes 8L/S to 18L in the future.
