Andreas Zipser: new Managing Director Central Europe at Sage
Sage, provider of cloud-based business solutions, has appointed Andreas Zipser as Managing Director Central Europe with effect from October 1, 2018.
As Vice President Sales Central Europe, Zipser had already been managing Sage 's business in Central Europe on an interim basis together with Heino Erdmann, Commercial Finance Director, since May 2018, following the unexpected death of Rainer Downar in April 2018. In his new role, Andreas Zipser will continue to pursue the corporate strategy of further expanding the subscription model for Sage software solutions in the Central Europe region with the Sage Business Cloud. He will report directly to Blair Crump, President of Sage Group plc. Heino Erdmann will continue in his current position as Commercial Finance Director.
Zipser joined Sage Germany in 2015 as Managing Director SMB and in this role was responsible for the entire SME business, from product development to marketing, sales, consulting and support. As part of the global functional realignment of the Sage organization, he took on the role of Vice President Sales Central Europe in 2016. In addition to regional sales responsibility, he also managed the introduction of a new partner program for the successful marketing of Sage's cloud-based business solutions.
Before joining Sage, Zipser, who holds a degree in business mathematics, was a member of the management board at CAS Software AG for more than eight years. There he was also responsible for the SME business and sales partners. Prior to that, Zipser held management positions at SAS Institute, Reader's Digest and the management consultancies Sempora GmbH and CVMC.
Innovation and cloud computing in the SME sector are particularly important to him. He is also committed to this as a member of associations and organizations such as Bitkom and the Cloud Ecosystem.
