Coupling for protection
Jakob presents the SKW safety coupling. According to the supplier, it guarantees reliable overload and collision protection. It comes with a keyway connection and an integrated deep groove ball bearing for high bearing forces.
Made from heat-treated steel, it can be used in temperature ranges from minus 30 to plus 200 degrees Celsius. The release torque is adjustable from two to 9,000 Newton meters. Hub bores are available from six to 110 millimeters in diameter. The coupling can be extended with metal bellows coupling or elastomer coupling attachments (SKW-KP and SKW-EK series), and customer-specific finish bores and keyway connections are also possible. pb
