Norgren has introduced the Adaptix clamping system, which uses adjustable fingers and interchangeable tips to hold different parts or workpieces in place during the CNC machining process.

They are made of different materials to meet the respective milling requirements. It was developed as an alternative to machined aluminum jaws that can only be used for one application. Using a single clamping system to hold hundreds of different parts helps to reduce the preparation time for machining a part, the number of jaw blanks used and the storage space for the machined jaws.

The fingers can be easily adapted to the shape of the workpiece and are then locked in place. The clamping jaws fit directly onto a vice and are currently compatible with vices from Kurt and Schunk; other manufacturers are planned.
