Press-in devices
Force-fit connection of components
Press-fit devices. Press-fit devices are the method of choice when several components need to be joined together by longitudinal pressing or riveting during assembly processes.
Ergonomic and comfortable working is possible above all when the operating elements are easy to reach, components can be easily positioned at the joining point and tools can be changed without complications. Suitable safety features must enable safe operation.
Press-fit devices that consist of interchangeable components and can therefore be flexibly adapted to changing assembly processes are also practical. With the modupress range, for example, the Roemheld Group offers a modular system whose modules can be used for a variety of purposes. They range from repair operations in small workshops to mobile use and assembly purposes in series production.
Customized joining devices can also be put together quickly and cost-effectively to create the desired press-fit device, depending on requirements. For example, additional sensor queries, partial automation or integration of the control system into existing systems are possible. As all components are compatible and interchangeable, existing press-fit devices can be easily retrofitted. It is just as easy to expand the range of functions with additional modules.
All stationary devices are based on a solid work table with a recessed base plate, which creates a flat surface without joints. Models are available in portal and C-frame form, with hydraulic or electric drives, strokes between 100 and 400 millimetres and press-in forces of 7 to 100 kilonewtons.
Three control variants are available, including with force-displacement monitoring or with travel time programming. Safety two-hand operation ensures operator protection. Alternatively, protection can also be provided by light grids or a protective housing. The press-in process is triggered by a button.
Roemheld recently introduced a new mobile press-fitting device for mobile use. It is primarily designed for use in workshops, prototype construction and service. The compact, easy-to-transport machine in portal design is operated by an electric linear drive and offers joining forces of up to 6 kilonewtons. It is optionally available as a table version or with a height-adjustable frame. The range of functions is designed for work in workshops, prototype construction and service: It can be used to hold down, press and caulk components with ease; springs can be fixed, positioned, blocked and tensioned. dsc
