The current development around Covid-19 makes it impossible to hold Rapid.Tech 3D at the originally planned time. The oldest German congress trade fair for additive technologies will be postponed to May 2021.

"Unfortunately, due to the current development of the corona pandemic, we have to postpone Rapid.Tech 3D 2020 to May 4 to 6, 2021," said Michael Kynast, Managing Director of Messe Erfurt and Prof. Dr. Gerd Witt, Chairman of the Rapid.Tech 3D Advisory Board.

"We did not take this decision lightly and consulted in detail with the members of our advisory board and partners from the industry beforehand. The safety and health of all exhibitors, visitors, partners and employees is our top priority. It is difficult for us to postpone Rapid.Tech 3D, but it is the most responsible consequence of the current situation," Kynast and Witt continue.

The decision to postpone was made by those responsible at this point in time in order to avoid a last-minute cancellation. In order to maintain the trade fair's presence on the event market in 2020 despite everything, the trade fair advisory board has recommended examining the organization of a 1.5-day "Rapid.Tech 3D - Congress 2020" with top-class speakers at the beginning of September 2020.
