Integrated X-ray and 3D radar mode

Artec has integrated both an X-ray and a 3D radar mode into version 13 of its Artec Studio software.

3D-Radar projects a distance map onto the captured data and thus provides information on whether the scanner is at the optimum distance from the object in order to optimally reproduce geometry and color fidelity. © Artec 3D

During the scanning process, the new 3D radar mode projects a distance map onto the captured data and indicates whether the scanner is at the optimum distance from the object. The X-ray mode then examines the raw scan data for problem areas before the processing phase. These include missing areas of an object, holes during the scanning process, alignment errors and the like. The 3D rendering determines the specifications of the user's computer and automatically adapts to its computing power.

Artec Studio 13 supports the entire Artec range of long-range and handheld scanners, including the latest versions of Artec Ray and Artec Leo.
