Trade fair for additive manufacturing
The Formnext trade fair will offer its trade visitors an expanded range of topics from November 15 to 18, 2022 under the Frankfurt Trade Fair Tower.

Lightweight construction at Formnext 2022
In cooperation with Hessen Trade & Invest and the Bremen Economic Development Corporation, Leichtbau BW once again organized a joint stand at Formnext to present innovations from Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Bremen.

At Formnext, Arburg will be showcasing the new Freeformer 750-3X, whose installation space is around 2.5 times larger than that of the Freeformer 300-3X, which will also be presented in Frankfurt.
3D printers for new applications
At Formnext, Arburg will be exhibiting the Freeformer 300-4X with a four-axis component carrier including rotation axis. The new machine can feed continuous fibers and coat them with plastic.
Photoreactive 3D printing material
As a result of the cooperation with Origin, Henkel is now launching a new type of 3D printable photopolymer for Origin One printers that is resistant to flammability, smoke and toxicity - a property that is useful in the automotive industry, for example. The photoreactive material is currently being presented at Formnext.

PTC, EOS and Link3D announce their collaboration at Formnext 2019. The aim is to provide a scalable production quality solution for EOS industrial 3D printing systems using augmented reality and MES.
Shielding gas nozzle and light scanner
The Fraunhofer IWS has developed Coaxshield, a local molten pool shield for laser powder deposition welding, and the LIsec analysis device, which can be used to monitor the powder flow in additive manufacturing processes, and will be exhibiting them at Formnext.
Creaform is showcasing the next generation of its portable 3D scanners Handy Scan Black and Go!Scan Spark at Formnext. The mobile scanners can be used to transfer physical workpieces into a CAD model.
Additive manufacturing is fighting for its place in industrial production. Nevertheless, there are still hurdles. The joint stand "Lightweight construction from Baden-Württemberg" shows how components can be produced more quickly.

Cooperation for machine control
Siemens and Scanlab are working together in the field of controlling industrial laser systems. They have integrated the RTC6 scan head control card into the Siemens Simatic S7-1500 controller for use in laser-based manufacturing applications.

With TPU 1301, EOS is launching a flexible polymer material for additive series production onto the market. The thermoplastic polyurethane is easy to process, is process-stable and has good hydrolysis resistance and high UV stability.
