Threaded nuts

Quick to adjust and quiet at the same time

Safe, fast and quiet adjustment - these are the requirements for screw drives. This is why Igus has now expanded its range of threaded nuts to include the material Iglidur E7 for trapezoidal and steep threaded spindles. According to the manufacturer, this material is characterized in particular by its smooth and low-vibration running at low loads and high speeds. With coordinated materials and geometries, the new threaded nuts and so-called Dryspin steep thread technology result in an optimum linear drive, according to the manufacturer.

Threaded nuts

Traditionally, lead screws consist of two components: the spindle and the corresponding nut. At high spindle speeds, threaded nuts made from standard plastics or metallic alternatives often reach their limits. The consequences are strong vibrations and a high level of background noise. For this reason, the manufacturer has now added the material Iglidur E7 to its range of threaded nuts for steep and trapezoidal threaded spindles. The nuts are specially designed for applications with high speeds, low loads and small installation spaces. The threaded nut consists of a soft high-performance polymer in which solid lubricants are permanently incorporated. This means that external lubricants such as oils and greases can be dispensed with. sw
