Faster modeling with VR

The Sevias software is intended to make the creation of physical models of design drafts superfluous.

By developing a digital twin in combination with 3D immersion, Sevias enables the realistic representation of a virtual 3D model. Interaction with the model is possible by placing pads on areas that still need to be clarified or by changing style elements such as colors or materials. Ad-hoc reports on desired elements and project progress can also be created directly if required

Virtual reality instead of a physical model

The solution offers a number of advantages: In addition to real-time visualization of project progress and the ability to make comparisons based on a before/after mode as well as to create different offers, the perception in particular is many times more realistic with a virtual model created with Sevias than when it is displayed on a computer screen. In addition, project work with Sevias has a significantly improved environmental footprint, as employees at different locations can share their experiences without having to transport a physical model. In addition, the generation of reliable data that can be updated immediately at any time facilitates rapid decision-making and a smooth project flow.

The automotive sector in particular, where detailed planning phases to check the design on a real model can quickly take longer than a month and tie up the resources of entire teams, is predestined for the use of the solution. With Sevias, the virtual realization of this phase can be implemented in just a few hours - and with a budget that is ten to twenty times smaller. In conjunction with the software solution, manufacturer Segula also offers expert support, making Sevias ideal for decision-making in global projects.

Suitable for various industries

The Sevias solution is already being used by a major French automotive group and by Segula itself in the aviation sector. It has a modular structure and can be specifically adapted for all industrial sectors, whether automotive, rail, aviation and shipping, medical technology, household appliances or many others. A wide variety of professional groups such as designers, engineers, color and material specialists, ergonomists, UX designers, marketing teams and others can also benefit from Sevias in their day-to-day design and development work.
