Digital manufacturing solution
Advanced order and resource management
The Hoffmann Group is presenting new functionalities of its digital manufacturing solution Hoffmann Group Connected Manufacturing at AMB. The software offers tool management for tracking all tools in production in real time.
It also allows orders to be managed digitally. This functionality has now been improved: the extended work process overview now also provides information on the status of manual and external work. In addition, workstations, machines and service providers can be grouped into work areas and assigned to an order. This enables detailed production planning, optimized use of resources and higher utilization of the machinery.
With the help of the new Connected Manufacturing order management system, manual operations can be assigned to a workstation and external operations to a service provider. Components or assemblies that are located outside the company are automatically marked so that production planning can be aligned accordingly. In order to optimize the use of resources, workstations, machines and service providers can now also be combined into so-called work areas. This makes it possible to divide production into individual production units in a structured manner. Orders can be created even faster in the system by assigning all the necessary resources with a single click.
The customizable work process overview also ensures greater transparency and convenience. Users can use various filters to show and hide information as required and create their own personal work process overview. This can then be saved and set as the default view. As every user has to log in to Connected Manufacturing with their login, each user receives their own generated, user-specific view. A quick overview provides information at a glance about the work processes in it. This is particularly advantageous for larger production companies with a higher division of labor.
Connected Manufacturing is particularly easy to implement if there is already a well-maintained tool database in the CAM system. This can be easily imported into Connected Manufacturing and thus forms a solid foundation for rapid implementation of tool management. If the GARANT Tool24 tool dispensing system is also integrated into the tool management solution, a holistic system is created that enables permanent monitoring of the tools, a reduction in throughput time in production and therefore further savings. Connected Manufacturing supports a total of eight CAM programs, including ESPRIT.
About Connected Manufacturing
With the help of the digital manufacturing solution Connected Manufacturing, small and medium-sized companies can manage their tools more efficiently and plan their use optimally. Connected Manufacturing provides a comprehensive overview of all tools and their digital twins in real time - from project planning in the CAM system to the presetting device and the machine. In addition to the master data, movement data such as the storage or usage location and presetting values are also recorded and constantly updated. Based on this information, it is possible to always provide the right tool in the right place and reduce rejects, rework or machine downtime. A clear and intuitive user interface enables users to operate the solution within a very short time using a standard Internet browser. The tools are serialized via RFID chips. Connected Manufacturing is currently available in eleven languages.
