Efficient and sustainable
Rotary screw compressors are the reliable backbone of industrial compressed air generation. The innovative CSD/CSDX series from Kaeser Kompressoren with its numerous features produces them efficiently and saves energy costs. This also reduces theCO2 footprint.
A special feature of the compressors is their low energy consumption, which is achieved through various innovative measures. The series scores with the best possible energy efficiency classes in the drive - whether with speed control (IE5) or fixed speed (IE4). At the heart of all compressors is a compressor block specially developed for this performance range with the flow-optimized Sigma profile. These and other optimization measures, such as the speed-controlled fan motors, have significantly improved the energy efficiency of the compressor system. This significantly reduces energy consumption.
With motor outputs from 45 to 110 kW, the models in the series cover delivery volumes from 8.4 to approx. 19.4 m³/min and are designed for pressures up to 15 bar. Even higher delivery volumes can be achieved, particularly at low pressures. All these measures reduce energy costs and improve the CO2 balance.
Accessibility to all relevant components and ease of maintenance have been improved by the new design. The fluid filter element is in line with the environmentally friendly system concept: it is metal-free and can be disposed of thermally after use without further treatment.
In addition to the standard versions, versions with an attached refrigeration dryer module have been developed that allow compressed air generation and drying on a small footprint. The refrigeration dryer is designed for high ambient temperatures and operates with very low pressure loss. Compared to the previous version, it is characterized by a further significant reduction in energy consumption and a refrigerant volume that is around 25 percent lower. The dryer is housed in a separate casing and is therefore not negatively affected thermally by the waste heat from the compressor.
The CSD and CSDX are also available with speed control and, like the standard systems, are designed for optimized efficiency, operational reliability and ease of maintenance.
