The universal safety relay XPSU from Schneider Electric covers a wide range of safety functions and enables integration into Industry 4.0 solutions. The desired safety application and the start function can be easily set via rotary switches on the front.
The use of an all-in-one solution significantly reduces the number of products to be stocked. The safety relay reduces downtimes thanks to its diagnostic information. More than 40 detailed diagnostic and status messages allow faults to be analyzed and localized quickly and rectified immediately. In detail, this means that the safety relay sends modulated signals to a normal input of the machine control system. Two function blocks - for diagnostic and status information - are available in the program. This means that the status of the safety application is transparently available in the control system.
Users can be informed accordingly via displays or the causes of faults can be found more quickly via remote maintenance. The safety relay also provides information about upcoming test intervals and the total number of switching operations up to the end of the product life cycle. This simplifies the proactive maintenance of the machine and effectively prevents downtimes/failure times.
Certified safety solutions are available for the XPSU safety relay, which is available in sizes 22.5 and 45 millimetres - with all the information required to create a safety function, such as a parts list, circuit diagram or calculation. This simplifies the implementation process and speeds up the market launch. For mounting and installation, the safety relay can be screwed onto the DIN rail or directly onto the mounting plate. as
