Category 4 - 2nd place: Trucks receive the freight automatically

Trapo's loading system, which replaces forklift trucks and automatically compensates for height differences on the ramp, took second place in the Warehouse, Order Picking and Intralogistics category.

Time and again, dramatic accidents occur during activities at the loading site, in which vehicle drivers and loading personnel are injured or even killed. Trapo defuses this danger zone and realizes the handling of goods in terms of effective overall logistics safely, automatically and with short distances. With the TLS series loading system, trucks and containers are loaded and unloaded autonomously. The system corrects its position on the ramp itself and can be used for any truck or container. No structural changes are necessary. The system has compact dimensions with a length of six meters and a height of 1.40 meters. It can accommodate payloads of up to 3.6 tons.

Trucks and containers are loaded in three sequences: First, the row is formed by placing pallets next to each other in a row on the stationary part and aligning them. Then the row is picked up by the mobile loading unit. Finally, the row is loaded into the trailer. A row is prepared in parallel: during the loading process, another row of pallets is formed on the stationary part and made ready. Unloading takes place in reverse order. pb
