VanRiet is now MHS
The Dutch system integrator VanRiet Material Handling Systems has been operating under the name Material Handling Systems (MHS) since January 1, 2020. This marks the final step in the takeover process.
The American provider of turnkey sorting and distribution systems has held 100% of the shares in VanRiet since 2018. The Italian company OCM, which produces modular components and sorting technology for smaller sorting systems, is also part of the MHS family. With the completion of the integration of the two companies, MHS now operates worldwide as a one-stop store for material flow automation and software solutions. The expanded MHS product range will be presented for the first time at Logimat in Stuttgart from March 10 to 12, 2020.
With the establishment of its first office in Europe in November 2017 and the acquisition of Dutch company VanRiet and Italian company OCM a year later, MHS has strengthened its presence in Europe and China. In the years that followed, the company then pushed ahead with research and the development of new technologies in particular. When selling automation solutions, MHS benefited from the local knowledge of VanRiet and OCM.
Scott McReynolds, CEO and co-founder of MHS Global, also points out that the still booming e-commerce sector "places immense demands on infrastructure and material flow and handling."
