Lubricator

Automatic and individually adjustable lubrication

Schaeffler has added further automatic lubricators to its Concept series. Concept1 and Concept4 ensure automatic and individually adjustable lubrication and thus reduce maintenance costs.

Manual lubrication is often carried out too late and with too much lubricant. An automatic supply of lubricant prevents over- or under-lubrication, saves time and extends bearing service life. Maintenance effort and costs can be reduced by up to 30 percent compared to manual lubrication, and smooth production operations are ensured in the long term.

Schaeffler has now added further automatic lubricators to its Concept series. In addition to the existing lubricators Concept2 (two lubrication line outlets) and Concept8 (eight lubrication line outlets), the Concept1 and Concept4 lubricators have now been added to the portfolio. While the Concept1 is suitable for the automated relubrication of one lubrication point, the Concept4 supplies up to four lubrication points with lubricant autonomously.

Another innovation: The Concept1 lubricator itself or the Concept4's replaceable cartridge can be refilled up to three times in just a few simple steps, even with greases from outside Schaeffler's own Arcanol range. This reduces waste, protects the environment and saves maintenance costs.

Concept1 with self-sufficient gas drive

Thanks to its simple installation and use, the Concept1 is particularly suitable as an introduction to automatic relubrication. It is available in 60 cm3 and 125 cm3 sizes and is powered by an electrochemical reaction via a gas dry cell, eliminating the need for an external power supply.

The Concept1 is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, such as electric motors, pumps or conveyor belts. Its compact dimensions allow it to be installed at almost any lubrication point. The Concept1 is also certified for operation in explosion-protected areas (ATEX).

Concept4 for demanding industrial applications

The Concept4 is suitable for minimum quantity lubrication of just 0.15 cm3 per control pulse. It was deliberately designed without an integrated timer for lubricant dispensing and without a display with operating buttons. This makes it particularly robust in use. The Concept4 is controlled exclusively via an external control unit. It is therefore aimed exclusively at customers with an existing PLC infrastructure.

Unlike the Concept1, the Concept4 (like the Concept2 and Concept8) has special lubricant cartridges. The standard cartridge size for the Concept4 is 400 cm³. It has four lubrication line outlets. The lubricator can build up a particularly high delivery pressure of 70 bar. This allows lubricant to reach even hard-to-access lubrication points through long lines, such as those found in electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, compressors and machine tools.
