Tretter expands its portfolio
Trapezoidal screw drives as an economical alternative
Dr. Tretter has now added trapezoidal screws to its product portfolio. For certain applications, these components are an economical alternative to the more precise ball screws.
Trapezoidal screw drives consist of the trapezoidal screw spindle and a trapezoidal screw nut. High strength can be achieved by rolling the trapezoidal screw spindle. If the thread flanks also have a high surface quality, the unit achieves exceptionally good running properties. Dr. Tretter covers a wide range of diameters and pitches with these components. Depending on the application, they can be an economical alternative to the more precise ball screws in certain applications. They are used in machine tools, in CNC technology or in feed, automation or handling units. Designers also install them efficiently in manual adjustment units. Another advantage is the small space requirement of the trapezoidal screw drives.
The company specializes in end machining of the thread drive according to customer drawings for small or large quantities. The standard length is three meters, the maximum length is six meters. According to the press release, Dr. Tretter's expertise lies primarily in the machining of small and medium quantities. Special materials and special surface treatments are also possible on request. as
