Iwis takes over Unimet

Iwis-Holding has acquired the Unimet Group. With this acquisition, Iwis is expanding its expertise in the field of electrical engineering and electrical connection technology.

Iwis, a supplier of precision chain systems, has acquired the Unimet Group, consisting of Unimet (Rieden), Leukert (Kaufbeuren) and Unimet Pty (Singapore), subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Through the integration of Unimet, Iwis gains further manufacturing expertise and engineering know-how in the field of electrical engineering and electrical connection technology. Unimet will become the lead company of the new Iwis division Unimet Precision Parts. The aim is to take this new division out of Europe and into the world through organic and inorganic growth. Dr. Peter Kreisfeld, CEO of Iwis Antriebssysteme, will take over the management of Unimet. as
