The Minden-based company has now expanded its series to include double-shaft linear axes with ball screw drive. The new EPX-II KG linear units are precise, flexible and compatible with the existing EP(X) product range. The EPX-II KG is the successor to the Copas axis. In contrast to the conventional EPX linear axis with a hollow shaft and sliding guide, the ball screw version has ground solid shafts with ball bushes. This ensures accuracy during dynamic movement and precise positioning in continuous operation, smooth running and a long service life.

The EPX-II KG compensates for high bending moments during manual and motorized adjustment and has a duty cycle of 100 percent. The manufacturer also emphasizes the low tolerances of the tension-free mounting surfaces (straightness = 0.2 millimetres) in relation to each other. The EPX-II KG linear units can be equipped with either a short or long slide. In the "Protect" version, the EPX-II KG is equipped with an optional bellows to protect the axis and thus achieves protection class IP 40. Axis adjustment is preferably carried out with servomotors; almost all types from a wide range of manufacturers can be adapted. pb
