Shaft couplings
For a secure connection
A ball screw or trapezoidal screw is usually connected to the drive journal via a flexible coupling. This allows center misalignment or misalignment errors to be compensated and vibrations and shocks in the drive train to be minimized. Dr. Tretter now offers compact shaft couplings for this purpose.
The company's shaft couplings consist of two identical hubs with concave claws and an elastomer spider in between, which enables an elastic connection. These components serve as a connecting element between the drive and the ball screw drive and enable simple and precise assembly. The hubs are clamped by means of a screw. The respective inner diameter can be freely selected depending on the size. Because the aluminium is anodized, they are extremely low-corrosion.
On request, the new shaft couplings are also available with soft spiders and in sizes 55 to 80 millimetres and with keyways. Dr. Tretter's range also includes other designs such as multi-plate or bellows couplings. as
