Logimat 2025: AI platform
Reduce picking routes
PSI will show how logistics processes can be improved with AI using the PSIwms AI platform. Trade visitors can test the potential using data from their own warehouse environment in a showcase.
PSIwms AI is the first platform based on artificial intelligence that is directly connected to the warehouse management system. The solution, which is initially available to PSIwms customers, analyses and optimizes WMS-supported logistics processes with the help of a digital twin. Thanks to the direct connection, changes in the physical warehouse are automatically transferred to the digital twin in real time and taken into account in the analysis. PSI has now developed its AI solution to product maturity; among other things, a new visualization function for the simulation of picking routes has been integrated.
In the showcase at the trade fair stand, interested parties can enter criteria for their own warehouse and order structure and view the results of the AI-generated picking lists and routes live. The result is a comparison of conventional routes and routes simulated with PSIwms AI. The calculated time for the respective picking routes and the percentage of time saved by using the AI solution are also displayed. The first user is a Polish fashion group that wanted to make its logistics processes more efficient due to a sharp increase in online orders. PSIwms AI enabled picking routes to be reduced by more than 30 percent. Following the first project in the distribution center in Pruszcz Gdański, the solution is now being used in three other logistics centers; the practical test has enabled PSI to significantly develop the platform further.
