Smart engineering

Andreas Mühlbauer,

AI in plant engineering

Eplan and Rittal will be demonstrating what is possible with AI in plant engineering using engineering use cases - be it the Eplan Copilot, agent concepts, automated 3D design and more. Eplan is pursuing a clear goal: "We want to use AI precisely where it supports designers and makes them more efficient in the engineering process," explains Sebastian Seitz, CEO of Eplan. The basis for any automation, including the use of AI, is data. New approaches using the Asset Administration Shell and the eClass standard will be presented at SPS. Eplan is creating new perspectives for product change management with solutions for Product Change Notification (PCN), which is of interest to both software users and component manufacturers. It will be demonstrated live on the system how a change to a component by the manufacturer is displayed directly in Eplan.
