Pushbuttons for the IoT
Captron is launching a new generation of pushbuttons with which the company is expanding the range of applications for its Smartcap solution. The sensor buttons are suitable for IoT applications and can transmit information to the operator in real time.
With the new models, users can configure properties individually via tablet, smartphone or computer, such as the sensitivity of the sensor, the color of the LED, the switching output and the switching function via push-button, switch and toggle flip-flop or lighting variants. The push-buttons are also IO-Link capable. "The new sensor buttons can not only be set individually - they also collect a lot of useful data such as degree of soiling, functionality, temperature or frequency of operation. If such information is fed directly back to the user in the future, completely new IoT applications are conceivable," says Philip Bellm, Managing Director of Captron. as
