Getting started with shipping
The starter kits put together exclusively by Mediaform Informationssysteme include a direct thermal printer, the right labels for the respective parcel service provider and lifetime telephone support for problem-free commissioning and reliable use.
This provides companies with an entry-level solution for shipping products with various parcel service providers such as DHL, DPD, TNT, UPS or GLS. The compact Bixolon DX420 desktop printer is already capable of printing 800 shipping labels per day, while the Primas 2400T industrial printer can handle higher print volumes. The Bixolon DX240 achieves print speeds of 178 millimetres per second and is available in two set variants - with a USB and serial interface and alternatively with a LAN connection.
The device is also equipped with a DHL set including a rewinder. It is suitable for printing DHL labels, which are difficult to process in conventional desktop printers due to their increased length, as the labels usually curl up after printing. A further effect: the use of the unwinder means that label rolls with a larger outer diameter and 76-millimeter roll core can be used. The Primas 2400T, an industrial printer made of injection-molded aluminum with an LC display, was designed for high print volumes. The print speed is up to 152 millimetres per second and the adjustable sensor for better label detection ensures smooth label feed and therefore label printing. pb
